Pushpinder Chowdhry, MA (Psychodynamic Counselling), PhD (Psychotherapy)
Dr. Pushpinder Chowdhry is a BACP accredited counsellor with over fifteen years’ experience of counselling in a variety of settings - working with young people; people from various ethnic and cultural minorities; and working on women’s issues including domestic violence, bereavement and mental health. Dr Chowdhry’s approach is to put clients in their broader cultural, social, and political context in order to assess their needs. She is a member of Asian Mental Health Forum, and has been a Trustee of Brook London.
Pushpinder is experienced in community issues, having practised as a community worker and as member of the Harrow Domestic Violence Forum. She founded Yakeen, a counselling service in Harrow specifically tailored for Asian women and writes a regular “agony aunt” column in a popular Asian newspaper. She has also had experience in teaching and supervising postgraduate students and in addition to her clinical practice, she has worked as a supervisor and trainer for counsellors and staff for community organisations.
Pushpinder has a particular interest media and mental health and is a director of a film festival. Her focus has been to work with current issues facing today’s society and to encourage wide reaching debates: through events that use film as a medium to educate and inform; by designing training workshops for mental health professionals, policy and decision makers; by supporting psychologically the film makers, actors and the audiences of these affecting films.
Fedja Dalagia (MBACP, UKCP reg.)
Fedja is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist and counsellor with 12 years of experience in both time-limited and long-term counselling gained in NHS, voluntary and private sectors including individual and groupwork. He has substantial experience in providing clinical assessments for counselling/psychotherapy and an in-depth understanding of the psychodynamic and humanistic schools of therapy. He also has six years of experience of providing supervision to qualified and trainee counsellors in both statutory and voluntary sectors including PACE and the Terence Higgins Trust. His teaching experience includes leading seminars at the Westminster Pastoral Foundation and the Site for Contemporary Psychoanalysis. Jinny Fisher BA (UKCP reg.)
Jinny is a Member, and former Chair, of The Guild of Psychotherapists. As well being UKCP registered, she is a Member of The College of Psychoanalysts-UK, and served on their Board of Governors 2006-08. She is also a Member of the British Association of Performing Arts Medicine.
Jinny has been a Director of The Grove Practice since 2004, where she also practises. She has been an Honorary Psychotherapist at the Women's Therapy Centre, (with whom she is still associated) and Staff Psychotherapist at The Guild's Clinic in Southwark. Jinny's approach is broadly psychoanalytic and her special interests include the aftermath of abuse (both physical and sexual), mind-body, childhood neglect, boarding school, performers, coping with celebrity, and twinship. Jinny also has a special interest in working with people who are physically ill, or who are affected by the illness of family or friends. She has worked in this way at the Royal Free Hospital, London. Jinny sees The Grove’s clients in Wimpole Street in central London and also in East Finchley in north London.
Stephen Gee B.A. (Hons), PGCE (UKCP registered).
Stephen is a member of the Site for Contemporary Psychoanalysis and registered with the UKCP. He is a full time practising psychotherapist and has worked with a wide range of groups, individuals and couples in the voluntary sector and privately. His career background is in education and theatre.
Stephen works as a therapist psychoanalytically to offer an opportunity for people from all backgrounds and sexualities to explore and express what is causing them unhappiness and to find meaning and enjoyment again, when life and relationships have become troubled. He practises for The Grove in Brixton, south London.
Barry Gower PG Dip, Adv. Dip, MSc, Dip. (Clinical Supervision), BASRT Acc. (UKCP registered).
Barry has trained as a psychotherapist, a psychosexual and relationship therapist and a clinical supervisor at the Whittington Hospital (NHS Trust) in London. He works in a Humanistic Integrative model with individuals and couples. Barry is a clinical member of the Universities Psychotherapy and Counselling Association and a recognised supervisor for the British Association for Sexual and Relational Therapy. Jacqueline Harrison (UKCP registered).
Jacqueline is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist and her theoretical orientation is Jungian. She is a Member of The Guild of Psychotherapists, where she is a Staff Psychotherapist in the psychotherapy clinic, and a Member of the Confederation of Analytical Psychologists. Jacqueline's original background was in sales and marketing and her experience in that capacity informs her practice. She is also trained and experienced in working with couples. Jacqueline practises for The Grove in Wimpole Street, central London and in Kingston, Surrey.
Robert Hudson MSc., M.A., Dip. S.W., (UKCP Registered).
Coming from a background in social work and community mental health, Robert qualified in psychotherapy with an M.A. from The Minster Centre, London. His approach is integrative, drawing on humanistic, psychoanalytic and cognitive-behavioural models. He is experienced in work with individuals and couples, and has practised at PACE and London Friend and with LGBT people, including those affected by drugs or alcohol. More recently, he has developed a specialism in psychosexual and relationship therapy. Robert practises for The Grove at his consulting room in central London.
David Lee BA, PGCE, PGDip SW, CQSW, MSc Psychotherapy, MBACP Acc., (UKCP Registered).
David is a psychotherapist with over 20 years experience working with clients from wide age ranges and cultural backgrounds. He has extensive experience working with adolescents and their families and with families with children under 5. He has a BA in English Literature and further post graduate training in education, social work and psychotherapy. He has studied with the Tavistock Institute for Human Relations, the Portman Clinic and the Institute of Family Therapy. He works privately, within the voluntary sector and the NHS with individuals, families and couples, integrating psychodynamic, psychoanalytic and systemic approaches. He also offers clinical assessments and brief therapy interventions through several employment schemes in the London area. David also has over 10 years experience as a clinical supervisor. He has designed and taught courses introducing and raising an awareness of therapeutic communication skills to professional groups including teachers and GPs. He is a member of the Institute of Family Therapy, the Association for Family Therapy, the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, a registered psychotherapist with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy and an affiliate member of the British Psychological Society. Glenn Nicholls BA (Hons), PGCE, PG Dip, Adv. Dip. (UKCP registered)
Glenn trained as a Humanistic Integrative Psychotherapist at The Whittington Hospital NHS Trust in North London where he worked with adults with complex mental health issues. He has over ten years’ clinical experience and now practises in Cambridge and Central London.
His background is as an educator; he has trained many therapists in the UK and overseas, and is currently a lecturer of Psychodynamic Counselling at Cambridge University. Other work includes supervision of experienced and qualifying counsellors and psychotherapists; coaching leaders and executives in business, academia and the church.

Jonelle Patton Dip Drugs Dep., MA in Exist. Psych. and Couns., (UKCP Registered)
Jonelle is an existential psychotherapist (MA from the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling, London) in private practice. Existential psychotherapy is derived from existential philosophy and focuses on the lived experience. She has worked as a psychotherapist in both the private and voluntary sector, working with a wide range of life's challenges, and until recently volunteered for Kids Company for two years as a psychotherapist for young children. In addition, Jonelle has over twelve years experience in the drugs and alcohol treatment sector in both clinical and strategic roles and has a Diploma for Drug Dependency (ENB616) from King’s College London, (Institute of Psychiatry, Addiction Treatment Centre). Her experiences in the drugs and alcohol treatment sector include NHS Drugs Dependency Unit, Residential Rehabilitation for Mothers and Child/ren and a homeless shelter. She is also trained in Transpersonal Psychotherapy, Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Richard Simpson BABCP, (UKCP registered, BACP and BASRT accredited)
Richard is a psychotherapist, psychosexual therapist and couples counsellor, clinical supervisor and EMDR trauma specialist. He also works with adolescents. He is an accredited BACP and UKCP registered psychotherapist. He is also a member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy), British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies and is accredited by BASRT (British Association of Sexual & Relationship Therapists). He is also a Level 3 EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing) trauma specialist. He also specializes in working with adolescent clients.
He trained at Spectrum, CPPD and the Whittington Hospital. Holding a Diploma in Counselling and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Psychosexual Therapy, he maintains a busy private practice in North London. Richard has a Diploma in Supervision, and as part of his work he supervises trainee counsellors and is a supervisor of groups of therapists for a number of organisations. Richard teaches CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) regularly on counselling and supervision courses. He has trained and supervised mental health professionals from a variety of backgrounds in the use of CBT. His theoretical approach is integrative. Joseph Suart (UKCP reg.)
Joe is a member of the Guild of Psychotherapists, and is currently Chair of that organisation. He works within a psychoanalytic framework, privately as a psychotherapist seeing people experiencing a wide range of difficulties, usually for open-ended psychotherapy. He also works for the NHS Child and Family Service in Cornwall, where he specialises in providing therapy for people in traumatic distress who experience difficulties in successfully forming stable loving attachments with their partners and children.
He has a particular experience in working with people who have been abused, sexually, physically and emotionally, as well as with those who have been convicted of sex offences.
