Diploma in integrative supervision: starting March 2016
This training offers counsellors, psychotherapists, psychologists and those in the helping professions the opportunity to develop therapeutic supervisory skills. The course is run on a multi-modal, multi-disciplinary basis. We recognise that nowadays supervisors may be supervising practitioners from different theoretical backgrounds from their own, particularly in organisational contexts. So our approach in this training is integrative – including a range of models and supervision concepts – while upholding the existing framework and background of each course participant.
Certificate in couple therapy: starting March 2016
Cabby Laffy facilitates this 8-day CPD course as an introduction to couple counselling for therapists who are already practising with individual clients. Cabby brings to this workshop her experience of teaching a 2-year diploma course is psychosexual and relationship therapy, as well as her knowledge as a published writer on sex and relationships. The course is taught in 4 x 2-day blocks, each on a Friday and Saturday.
Introduction to psychosexual therapy
This 2-day weekend workshop is facilitated by Cabby Laffy and is designed as an initial training to equip therapists with knowledge-based skills to work with common psychosexual problems that are presented in counselling. The 2015 dates were Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th October 2015. This course will run again in Autumn 2016.
2-day CPD workshop: Cognitive Behavioural Couple Therapy
This 2 day experiential workshop provides an introduction to and a foundational training in CBCT (Coginitive Behavioural Couple Therapy). It will be of interest to therapists who have training in other modalities of couple therapy (who will find that the approach complements and extends their practice) as well as therapists who do not have experience working with couples.
The workshop dates in 2015, facilitated by Dr Michael Worrell, were on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September 2015.
